Account Manager
ACCOUNT MANAGER | £42K | LONDON | PERMANENT
Our client is a leading provider of Strategically Outsourced Services operating across the UK and Ireland. They are recognised experts in first generation outsourcing and provision of outsourced services to quality critical environments and sectors with unique challenges such as Banking Corporations, Iconic Buildings, Life Sciences, Retail, Corporate Offices, Healthcare and Education.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contract Account Manager who will play an integral part and be the operational lead at one of our prestigious, high-profile sites in London.
Working Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm, you will be overseeing a team made up of a Manager, Supervisor, 7 daily operatives and 2 porters and 9 evening operatives.
You must have previous cleaning experience and be a strong operator. You will be reporting to the Key Accounts Director and the Director of Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the delivery of the contract services at our client’s building as detailed and agreed within the scope of contract between our Client and Bidvest Noonan.
- Responsible for the standards of service delivery in line with the SLA as agreed with the client whilst providing across client sites by advising on SLAs, KPIs, objectives and projects.
- Maintain and expand relationships with strategically important large customers / builds long term mutually beneficial partnerships with Key Customers
- Escalation of any issues arising on the contract to the Key Account Director and Director of Operations.
- Lead and drive the Commercial performance for all accounts within the contract, ensuring invoices are issued and paid on time and resolving any queries the client may bring.
- Ensure all necessary Industry and Client processes and procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly client review presentations/reports.
- Coordinates the involvement of other stakeholders, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
- Drive innovative and scalable service solutions.
- Interrogate management information systems which provide information to enable sound commercial judgement for decision making.
- Provide support to the Key Account Director and Director of Operations by advising on relationship issues and focuses needed from the team.
- Identify issues or risks that will impact the contract.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE
- To ensure the client site complies with all policies and procedures contained in the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality procedures (IMS) and to promote and make consistent use of the guidelines, processes, checklists, and forms contained within it.
- Ensure all site files are compliant. Drive action plans and resolutions arising from SHEQ team audits, closing out any PIP’s in a timely manner, supporting Direct reports.
- Client/contract specification is carried out providing the best service to key stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of the companies disciplinary and grievance policy where necessary, ensuring fairness and consistency in their application.
- Ensure all HR procedures are formally recorded to the required standard and reported to HR.
- Ensure the overall management, wellbeing, and welfare of all employees within your remit.
- Monitor that all equipment is managed, used, monitored, and reported defective in accordance with policies and procedures ensuring regular audits are carried out and documented.
- Demonstrate leadership in best practice people management.
- Have a clear understanding and demonstrate outstanding customer relationship management and engagement.
- Have excellent motivational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, able to deliver monthly reports and presentations where required.
- Able to demonstrate methodical and organised ways of working.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Holds a valid IOSH Managing Safety certificate.
- Hold a Level 5 Management certificate or equivalent (or willing to work towards)
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Able to work on client premises 5 days a week.
- Able to attend sites per all shift types on ad hoc basis to engage with ‘out of hours’ colleagues.
