Industrial Sprayer
INDUSTRIAL SPRAYER | £35K – £40K | EAST SUSSEX | COMPANY VAN | PERMANENT
We are currently recruiting for an industrial painter to support various works, based in East Sussex. Whilst your base would be working out of our head office in Brighton, you will be required to support various jobs across the UK.
AGS carry out works in airports as well as other security sectors, so the successful candidates will need to pass criminal/security record checks to obtain permits for working in these areas
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for applying a variety of specialised coatings to different surfaces, ensuring precision and attention to detail in every project. From surface preparation to coating application and post-treatment, you will be the expert in achieving optimal results.
- Good on-site client relation skills ensuring the client is happy that we are fulfilling their requirements to the best possible standard.
- High standard of work pride is a necessity.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks during and after coating applications to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements. You will also troubleshoot and rectify any issues that may arise during the process.
- Successful candidate will be required to attend coating courses as well as all necessary on-site work permits
- Take personal ownership of, and responsibility for, completing tasks and procedures.
- Take responsibility for supervising and mentoring others where appropriate
- Have the required competencies for the preparation of surfaces and the application of industrial coatings, to the required standard, while adhering to health, safety and environmental regulations and safe working practices.
- Demonstrate team working skills and interact with team members in a positive and professional manner
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proven experience as a Specialist Coating Technician or a similar role within the coatings industry
- Most works are carried out on night shifts, however flexibility is imperative and the role will require flexibility to work day shifts when required including occasional weekends
- Must be able to read and understand coating technical data sheets
- Strong practical skills in surface preparation and coating application, with an eye for precision and detail
- Knowledge of different coating types, applications, and associated equipment
- Willingness to adapt and learn about new coating technologies and advancements
- AGS carry out works in airports as well as other security sectors, so candidates will need to pass criminal/security record checks to obtain permits for working in these areas
- Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize coating processes
- Ideally have experience in Industrial airless spray applications, concrete/flooring preparation equipment
- General all round knowledge of industrial floor coatings as well as commercial painting and decorating
- Must hold a full UK Drivers Licence
