Security & Gest Safety Officer
SECURITY & GUEST SAFETY OFFICER | FULL TIME | 08:30–20:30 | £15.08 P/H
We are recruiting for a Security & Guest Safety Officer to join us and work for our major clients at The Centre MK.
This is a great opportunity for a professional, outgoing and vigilant individual to work in a dynamic retail environment, delivering both safety and a high level of customer service.
1-hour unpaid lunch. This equates to 38.5 hours per week based on an 8-week rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Respond to on-site incidents, including medical emergencies and fire alarms
- De-escalate confrontational situations and maintain order using effective communication
- Provide excellent guest service, acting as a “Brand Ambassador” for the centre
- Assist visitors with directions and general enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Complete accurate reports, including incident logs, witness statements, and first aid records
- Maintain clear and professional communication via radio with the Control Room and site management
Ideal Candidate
- Holds a valid SIA Door Supervision (DS) licence (essential)
- Has up-to-date ACT Awareness training (certificate required)
- Holds a valid First Aid qualification (certificate required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (report writing will be assessed)
- Previous experience in security, guest services, or a high-end retail environment (desirable)
- Able to provide a full 5-year checkable work/education history (BS7858 vetting)
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and carrying out manual handling tasks
- Confident, approachable, and able to remain calm under pressure
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
